Before I was afflicted, I went astray... Psalms 119:67a
Thy wrath lieth hard upon me...
Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me;
thou has made me an abomination unto them;
I am shut up, and I cannot come forth...
Lover and friend has thou put far from me,
and mine acquaintenance into darkness.
Psalms 88:7,8,18
Unless thy law had been my delights
I should then have perished in mine affliction.
Psalms 119:92
It is good for me that I was afflicted,
that I might learn thy statues. Psalms 119:71
